Donna Young has been painting professionally since 1978. Now recognized as an accomplished oil and pastel artist, Donna portrays a vivid and effervescent aspect of the Northwest landscape.

"It is my intention to create paintings which fascinate, uplift, and heighten the senses. I enjoy presenting my subjects in unusual perspectives, which encourage viewers to put aside habits of perception and to look at the world with new eyes. I feel compelled to capture the vanishing, classic American landscape with spirited color, mood and emotion that is alluring, vibrant and sustaining."

Young is a winner of numerous artistic awards, is an active member of the Oil Painters of America and a signature affiliate of the Pastel Society of America. Through her dedication to painting, her visions of nature has resulted in having exhibitions in major corporate headquarters as well as having earned a strong following among private collectors and celebrities. The spontaneous and vibrant colors of her medium result in works that are rich in energy, become a celebration to the eye, and seem almost as timeless as nature itself.
